Crossroads

Revolutionary Road

Sad.

Great.

But. Very. Sad.

Made me ponder about ... choices.

Relationships.

Choices.

J: I decided to work things out with my ex-girlfriend.
M: Are you happy?
J: Well, things always look greener on the other side.
M: But are you happy?J: I've been single before, and it's not what it's all cracked up to be.M: Are you happy though?
J: Yeah, we're trying to work things out.M: I thought you didn't want a relationship.
J: I never said I didn't want a relationship. You just always assumed I didn't want a relationship. But I just didn't want to be in mine anymore.M: So, what happened?
J: We're working things out.
M: Well, this means that we just have to be strictly friends then.
J: I can't help but think of you though.M: You can't think of me. And besides I'm trying to date other guys. Remember Jesse?* It's just that they end up dumping me or it doesn't work out ... because you're still here. J: They don't dump you. But you can't wait for me.M: I'm not. I know. I'm not stupid.
J: Never said you were stupid, Honey.M: Don't call me that.
J: But I like calling you Honey. M: But you can't call me that.
J: I wish you were here.
M: Well, I'm not. And I gotta go. You have a girlfriend now, remember?
J: She's not you though.
M: What made you decide to work things out?
J: She loves me. And will never do anything to hurt me. Nor would she ever leave me. You? No guarantees.
M: Yep. I can't promise you anything.
J: I know. And I don't want to be alone.
M: Are you happy?
J: We're trying to work it out.
M: Well, I gotta go.
J: Okay, sweet dreams.M: Sweet dreams.
J: I'll be dreaming of you.
M: I'll be dreaming of you.

THE END.
